Day 67 La Isla to Villaviciosa

Great night last night this auberge had the most pilgrims by far for this trip. When I was here two and a half years ago it was full with at least four times the number of pilgrims. We got a late start of about ten and hung around with Emmanuel, Sebastian and a few others for the walk to Villaviciosa.

My plan was to stay at Hotel Carlos one of my favorites spots from my last Norte, but Bronwyn started to have sharp stomach pains and we passed a church not far from our town with a huge porch and decided to stay there. We were cold! I'm writing this about ten days later and can say we have not slept out since.

Aqua, the young lady who gave the girls her paint set and paper...we ran into her when I stopped to get a coffee and the kids were actually painting with their new paint!!!!

I mailed sea glass, shoes and things we no longer need to St Jean where we will pick them up once we get our rental car. Nine pounds of stuff freed between us!

Painting on the porch of the church where we would fall asleep...loved watching them paint with their paint set, just like Aqua they would paint favorite scenes from the trip! What a wonderful present! Thank you Aqua!

Dog on the blog...
This precious pup had a water bowl turned over and we tried to fix it and give him water but he'd have nothing to do with it, we tried but he wouldn't let us. I was surprised because at least 99 percent of the guard dogs are far from guarding and literally beg us for attention.
