RV 2019: A Trip to Madrid & NYC

It might sound glamorous but not so much....
It ends up there is a fuel strike in Portugal and heavy (tornado) winds in New York City, so our flight was late.   We had to fly to eastward to Spain for fuel... and were put up in New York City by Delta since there was no flight to get us back to North Carolina so late (landing around 11pm).

All is well!!!  We miss the kiddos and the critters!!!!!

We are home for five weeks and then the kids and I depart for three months in Europe.

All accommodations are booked for:

RV 2019: Our Last Day

We made our rounds in Southern Portugal, collected our loot that wouldn’t fit in our backpacks and enjoyed a wonderful evening with a new friend from the US moving to Portugal.

He and Steve spent some time surfing , then back for dinner and an early departure in the morning to the airport....

I went to kiss on Gigi , the black cat I slept with last year...

RV 2019: Car Porto to the South

We kissed our Porto family goodbye and the rugby players. What a nice group of guys! They certainly were having fun!

Today we made a mad dash to see Paula who we stayed with when the girls and I did the Camino last year and Mama Rita at the church. How fortunate to see Mama Rita. I had no way of contacting her but went to the church and there she was!!

and... off to see Samuel again, this time with no rain at my “favorite restaurant in the whole World”!!!!!
