RV 2019: Day 7

Another wonderful breakfast.

On our way out I stopped again at my favorite store and added a few purchases for the girls and me. These I have to carry though...

A great day of hiking, our first rain today but we were prepared.

I got an unusual text on my phone while on a cliff in the rain. It asked me if I had found my dog....
It ends up Barnacle who is completely blind and deaf was wandering out on the golf course. I’m still confused at what exactly happened. But we think Loftin might have let him out, by the time I got a hold of the kids they claimed Barnacle was asleep inside...
It appears a golfer found him, attempted to contact me (the number on Barnacles collar), decided he (or she) couldn’t stay with him, left him, and he made his way back to the house. We live on the golf course so we are thinking he might just have been in our own backyard when “ found”.  No kid is taking responsibility for it so everyone thinks Loftin let him out...

I loved the heart in the water...

A fabulous dinner again...

RV 2019: Day 6

So we are staying out here for two nights! A marvelous choice. It’s required to stay two night here and so glad we booked with that in mind. Like last year we hiked two stages yesterday, letting us backtrack a bit to complete a stage today and come back to our place.

The breakfast here is second to none!!!! Every detail is in place.

My favorite shop that was closed in Lagos has a sister shop here in  Aljezur. I did a lot of shopping and our wonderful hosts let me keep my leather backpacks and new jewelry here, we will be renting a car at the end of our trip and returning.

One last dinner at Gully... and another shot st my favorite dessert.

I love how this restaurant has not chased these birds away and instead has accommodated them right above the heads of patrons! This made me love them even more....

RV 2019: Day 5

Leaving the farm was hard, we love it here... the geese, dogs, cats, so much love in one place. Tonight is a splurge...

Cork trees

This accommodation is a splurge for us when hiking, and well worth it!!!!

A short walk away was a very enjoyable restaurant named Gully... marvelous staff, great food and presentation... and a lovely dessert with peppered chocolate ice cream!!!

RV 2019: Day 3 & 4 Rest Day

Staying put...
not because we need to but because we are at one of my favorite areas! We are at a special
place on the farm.

In the morning, the peacocks round for food...

Dog on the blog...
this nervous fella paid us a visit...

The owners offered us their canoe to make our way over to my favorite restaurant in the area. I spent my birthday there last year, and they remembered the occasion.
Our moments in the canoe were not our finest moments, the tide was coming in... we abandoned ship pretty quickly...

My drink of choice...

So there’s room for two dogs on the blog...

and a cat in the pizza oven ( by choice)...

 This beauty slept with us...
