Yesterday afternoon when we got off the ferry (little tiny boat) and sat there crying over missed guacamole on the steps of Ritual, we passed a cute clothing store with linen and indigo at the core of everything they sold. They had me at Linen and Indigo... :)
The girls insisted that this one dress had my name written all over it so I did something a backpacker rarely does I bought myself something! The shop is known for block print and so the tooth fairy (she just lost a tooth) brought her a block print turtle.
We were running late as always, passed by ritual where I hoped to grab a coffee and they informed us they’d be open in ten minutes for lunch.
Our new quote, ”it would be rude not to...” kicked in and we actually had a wonderful lunch before heading out for what the books said was a “difficult” hike. We went from turned away at the door ( almost twice) to a “ Reserved” sign at our chosen table. A wonderful lunch!!!!
I’ve walked about five months of Camino miles with few break days and have never suffered the foot pain I am this trip. Today didn’t help with all the sand and ground that resembled craters. The views though could never disappoint.
We stopped about an hour and half shy of completion when we found an opportunity to put our hammocks and call it a night. We were cold, it’s colder than I thought it would be, but we all agreed we were happy to be sleeping out!

How beautiful..we're all pulling for you girls!! Keep on keeping on 💙
