Day 10 - Almograve to Vila Nova de Milfontes

We had a great nights sleep. The gentleman who checked us in sent us off today.  What a super sweet soul!  We had no kitchen access, so we nibbled on things we already had and called it a dinner!

We got to the small town and fortunately chose the less trendy little cafe where we each had an awesome coffee and an apple cooked in port (I think) with a cinnamon stick. It was so yummy!

Tonight we have a reservation at the campground, a trailer like pre-fabricated type bungalow, it was all we needed with a small kitchen.

Today’s walk was great but as you can tell the sand can slow you down so much! I need Bachbahah about now, you wouldn’t get that name dropping unless you read about my camel in Morocco. I texted Adam to ask if he could arrange my handsome Bachbahah to come to Portugal and help this old lady out.

A bought us these cute fish in Lisbon, last night I secured it better to my Camino shell, I love it there! The sardine is a symbol for Lisbon and possibly Portugal as a whole.

 Cinnamon apple

Where I recommend coffee and the cinnamon apple!

The winds picked up and we got to the spot where one can ferry on a little boat over or walk more than hour. The boat picks you up right where we had lunch and just seemed like the cooler more memorable option. We were the last run of the day due to winds. Our captain and co captain on the tiny vessel were adorable and laughed at us as we wondered how to board. We had to take off our shoes and walk in the water!

Loved this town!!! Trendy and cute!!!!

We instantly passed a restaurant named “ Ritual”, it had guacamole on the menu!!!!!! We went in to order some and were told they were closing until dinner. It ends up the gal who broke the news to us was the owner. She saw our pain and she said to come back after 7.

We showered headed out for our guacamole and arrived back to a packed restaurant. The person at the door asked, "Do you have a reservation?” and thankfully the owner ran over, created a miracle of space for us and made sure we were taken care of. She simply said, ”guacamole right?”

A huge meal later including two sangria for me we were feeling fat and sassy! I loved this place, I loved the staff, I loved the decor, I loved the food!
