We got up and made breakfast in our sweet apartment and had a. instant climb up out of town with great views. This stage receives a lot of attention as the rout goes through the woods, but recently the woods have a path plowed through them.
Tonight’s destination has a monastery and a nice restaurant right there beside it. We thought about staying at the monastery, but was glad we saved the money and stayed at the public albergue. After showers we headed to the monastery for a tour, the pilgrims blessing and then dinner.
We had a lengthy conversation with one of the nuns and the former priest of the place who is I think 92 years old. As we walked there was a black cat near a horse and the cat ran out into the street upon seeing our energy hopping down the path. Right then a car came and we all screamed and heard the impact of the cat and car colliding. I yelled to the girls NOT to turn around. It was more than I could take. Honestly, with Boo dying and now feeling like we had something to do with this, and a car that was driving fine until it saw us.
Jordi did turn around and enthusiastically shared the cat was fine and running off!!!!!!!! After a few hours I asked, with some hesitation if the girls entertained that Boo from heaven moved that kitty to spare us, and both said yes that they too had that thought!
