I have heard some say today’s trek is their favorite Camino days of all Caminos. It certainly is up there! As far as a walk in the forrest I’m not certain you could ask for anything more!
If fairies exist they are here!!!!
I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. We’d see Ava today, meet Sous today and be surrounded by others at night in the kitchen who we would meet for the first time!
Today was gorgeous, hot and seemed long , but it wasn’t...
We figured out why the beauty in the woods had us taking pictures non stop and Jordi takes a lot of photos and I take a lot of photos so combined, if it is scenic, we did not move fast.
WOW, Santiago has creeped up on me quickly. Tomorrow offers a boat ride that will remove a 37 km hike from the schedule. One might call it cheating! Since we started in Sagres I’d challenge that “one” as to where they started. At our welcoming, wonderful, public albergue of 21 pilgrims all but 1 is taking the boat. That 1 wants to but for some odd reason didn’t buy a ticket.
We’d go to the grocery store hungry, which means we would have way more food on hand for dinner than we needed. We made a huge dinner and I was anxious, the boat ride was planned around tides and we had to be there are 8:30 in the morning. With all of our food we had to pack well, clean up and plan breakfast. Typically those who take the boat do not then depart it to walk to Santiago that day!
Decisions, decisions, decisions...
