Typing quickly, limited WIFI to when I grab a coffee makes it real difficult to keep in touch but please know we are all doing great. The kids are rock stars and I never in a million years could have guessed they could have done so well.
I tip toed out of the campsite to sneak a coffee and Aynsleigh came running up beside me. We ran to get bread, bought only from the pastry shops in towns as the little markets won't compete with them. You are at the mercy of their hours though. Flora and Morgan came up behind us and bought the kids croissants to share this morning. These little acts of kindness are so treasured by the children. Today is a tough day while we have to say ,"bye" to this wonderful couple. We love them so much! They are constantly smiling have the most amazing relationship and can break out in song in seconds. They gifted me a little purple leather change purse that I honestly noticed everytime they brought it out! As they left the campsite Morgan came back to talk to Reichen and I know this conversation is something he found value in, words of advice/ encouragement as he becomes a young man.
We caught up with Marc who suggested a stop a the oldest church on the route 1100 year old Roman Church. This was a highlight for me. We were just about to put our hammocks and bags there on the grounds when we noticed the cutest bar about a football field away. This lovely couple offered us a room right outside their bar to sleep. Super thrilled they did as it got cold!
St Come ( check out the spire)
Sabine's gite!!!
Leaving town after a pretty late start, that would separate us from our pilgrim family for a few days....
Cross in the rock path
Bronwyn noticed she had left her bracelet that Aynsleigh had made her 90 minutes into our walk, a walk that was straight up hill. Bronwyn wouldn't stop crying and I offered to go back telling the kids that they'd have to then walk without me and we'd meet up tonight. Reichen slipped off his pack and said if we'd stay here and have lunch ready upon his return he'd run back and get it!!!! He pulled some massive strength and was back in alittle over an hour. This small hiccup would change our plans but it was the gift of sibling love and is part of our Camino. Reichen has demonstrated to me over and over again that he is a leader x 100! He tucks everyone into their hammock at night before getting comfy in his. I've always known he had a leaders spirit but this trip has proven to me that he is in the top 1 percent of being a leader.

Dinner with Marc, the kids said this was like Thanksgiving... We bought drinks from bar and she welcomed us to eat our own food at her tables...
Picture taken in the morning so you can really see the cuteness...we slept in that room!
