Day Nine- Saint Chely to Saint Come d'Olt

The Days on the Camino can't get much better than this!!! Gerhart offered us coffee and chocolate milk for breakfast and continues to remind us of the spirit of the Camino. Our walk today was gorgeous, spirits were high as we thought we just might be swimming when we get to town tonight!

This towns little supermarket had our favorite ice cream! A six pack of cones with a little chocolate and berry ice cream, knowing it would melt we had no choice but to eat it for breakfast and take a goofy picture...

And more goof....
Bronwyn spotted this dream catcher in the woods, before she was born the boys and I made dream catchers for her crib....
Did I say this day had it all????
On the way we came to a little hut that had coffee, tea and water. There was a group of beautiful French ladies taking their break too, they made room for us and shared how they had heard of us.
Tonight's town was spectacular! We went through an old arch to get into the center of town and immediately came to a stunning building that we have been told use to be the jail. Here I witnessed some wonderful welcoming of pilgrims. There around a table were some familiar faces and two guys with their feet in adorable soakers. This was a gite and the owners name is Sabine. She knew we were looking for the campsite and were not potential clients but she insisted we sit, enjoy conversation with our friends and brought out drinks for all the children and me. She radiated joy! I thank her for letting us enjoy the company of our friends and knowing we were not staying there.

Sabine told us to put our packs down and go check out the cathedral, what a great gal!

We were told by everyone that the campground owner was a very nice man, sure enough Chris greeted us with apples and cold water saying," it's the Americans!" with enthusiasm. Flora and Morgan are here and were swimming upon our arrival, we quickly jumped in and then all headed to dinner with a prep landed date to meet our pilgrim family. This night was the best of the best! Maureen, Larry, Flora,Morgan, John Michael and a new face, super sweet Carole!!!! The kids witnessed the best of the Camino today and tonight. The kids started begging for desserts on the menu which are not inexpensive in France and I had to draw the line somewhere.... But John Michael and Carole suprised them with dessert and the kids were thrilled! We quickly skyped daddy taking advantage of the WIFI connection, we always love sharing our Camino friends with family!!!!
