SAINT JOUIN- BRUNEVAL - small beach

We woke in our hammocks in Etretat and followed the scenic coastal route not knowing where we would end up. We didn't get too far, we stopped to look over a cliff and started walking down the hill to a precious rocky beach.

There were cute cabanas and simple restaurants serving "Moules et Fritz" ( mussels and French fries). We decided to call this home for the day and glad we did. The kids swam in the ocean and collected rocks. We instantly realized we were in trouble in that we all love nature and are pretty fascinated by what it has to offer. A literal sack of rocks was collected:) I ordered us Moules Normandie, mussels served in cream sauce and we sat out on the beach socializing with two young French guys, Emmanuel and Robin til about midnight. Loved this evening with them, both are twenty five and we enjoyed our time with them immensely. I hope to host these two on our turf one day. I offered both Reichen and Karsh a beer as I would rather their first alcohol experiences be in a casual environment with us. My goal is to teach them that beer and wine can be enjoyed leisurely and over a pleasant evening vs a college party life first setting.
