Day 55 Bilbao to Pobena

A wonderful walk with Mendi who took us safely to Pobena, where we had plans all the day to sleep on the porch of a church there overlooking the town from a hill. We stopped for lunch and Mendi had a small cutting board, it is the only item my pack needs. Christmas ideas for the kids who started discussing who is going to make it and how.
This whole area is a haven to surfers, we passed through a neat surfer town before Pobena.
We got to Pobena exhausted, stayed with Mendi at the bus shelter till he caught his bus back to Bilbao  and went to the church where we ate our dinner and fell asleep. We all slept so well. Waves in the distance. The kids saw a box decorated with a snail drawing , who would ever know that was purposely put there for them personally to see....we would find out days later.
Great day! Thanks Mendi for walking with us!

There is a cable car that takes you over the river suspended from above. Pictures don't do it justice.
